For all those Indians excited to buy Aakash tablet, well the wait is over now. Aakash tablet is on sale now online and you can purchase it online by paying Rs. 2500.It is available on their official site aakashtablet.com. But data wind will be selling just 30,000 pieces so hurry up and grab it. This aakash is definitely going to be the first tablet for many people. There is no payment option available and this tablet is available only on cash on delivery and after ordering it will be delivered to your home in just one week.
The version which is being sold now is having 366Mhz processor with a 7 inch display and Android version 2.2.It is having 2100 Mhz battery which is reported to have a backup of just 1.2 hrs. But if you can wait then you can get a better version. Ubislate 7 which is a upgraded version of Aakash will be on sale late in the January which is having much faster 700 Mhz processor and Android 2.3 with 3200 Mhz battery. Ubislate 7 will be having a price tag of Rs. 2,999.Ubislate 7 will be having both wifi and GPRS that means it can also serve you as phone. This thing is missing from current selling version.
DataWind’s CEO Suneet Singh” This is a made-in-India product. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to do this.’ He adds, ‘The final goal is to either provide the same features at a lower cost or provide better functionality and features at the same cost.”
The official site is receiving huge traffic and sometime server goes down also. This is obvious due to heavy heavy demand of users. So you have to be fast to get Aakash.
I would suggest you to wait a little bit for Ubislate 7 and with just Rs. 499 extra you will get a far better tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Y vs Samsung Galaxy Pop

Comments

Samsung Galaxy Y was launched recently. It is the cheapest Samsung android phone available in India. But this doesn’t make it poor phone. Actually it is a cool phone and its performance is quite impressive. Samsung Galaxy pop is yet another cool phone launched by Samsung 6 months ago. So I decided to compare these two to make the task easier for my friends who are looking to buy a budget smartphone and confused between these two.

 1. Both the phones are having same resolution  240x320 which is not so good. But if you have used low end devices in the past you won’t be disappointed with it.
2. Both the phones are having TFT capacitive touch screen but Galaxy pop is having 3.14” screen and whereas this size in Galaxy Y is 3.0”.Both of these are multi touch and having accelerometer.
3. Galaxy pop is having 160 MB internal memory and in Galaxy Y it is 160 MB so Galaxy Y allows you to install more apps. These can be expanded to 32 GB.
4. Ram in galaxy Y is 290 MB compared to 384 MB of galaxy pop.
5. Galaxy Y is loaded with Gingerbread and Galaxy Pop comes with outdated froyo but it can be upgraded to gingerbread.
6. Galaxy Y is faster with 832 Mhz processor compared with 600 Mhz processor of galaxy pop.
7. Camera in pop is 3.2 MP and in galaxy Y it is 2.0 MP.
8. Both the phones have poor battery life with 1200 mAh li-ion battery. But in Galaxy Y battery will last longer due to small display.
Price: Galaxy Pop- Rs. 8000
             Galaxy Y- Rs. 6990
I am having Samsung Galaxy Pop and till now I am totally satisfied with it apart from battery life. But now I am looking to replace it as there are awesome android budget phones in Market.I would recommend you to buy Galaxy Y if you are not heavy phone camera user.

Apple to have MS Office Suite in 2012

Comments

Finally the Microsoft Office is coming in iOS on 2012.But whether this will work for Microsoft, or not still remains a topic of discussion. May be its too late for Microsoft. The reason is obvious. There are already a lot of quality Office suite available for iphones and ipads like Quick office and documents to Go, which are having a lot of reputation in Office suites in mobile platforms. Both of these provide creating, editing and exporting of Word, Excel and Powerpoint files. Apart from these two Apple is already having its own office suite-iWork. iWork is only for iPads.
A Microsoft solution would have the advantage of working natively with Office files in the way the company that created them intended, however. That would mean no minor formatting oddities to occasionally iron out when you shift back to Office, and maybe even tight, wireless integration with Office on the Mac or PC, as well as Office 365 on the web.
The cost of the MS Office Suite is said to be around $10 which is same as iWork. But it will be the first official Office suite for Apple users. So definitely it would be somewhere better than the others. And of course you will have to pay the same for other suites so why not try the official one.So just wait for 2012 and lets see what’s there in Microsoft Office 2012 for iOS.

Twitter Vs Facebook for bloggers

Comments

If you are a blogger then you know the importance of social media sites. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, Digg(and a lot more) are the primary source of traffic for any blog.It is necessary for a blogger to remain active on these sites. In this post I just want to discuss which site is better for bloggers-Facebook or Twitter. So lets try to find out.
Now the first thing is how many twitter followers do you have? 1000, 2000, 3000 or may be more. And to how many of them you communicate? 100,150,200 or may be less. Now on Facebook most of the people are having around 400-500 friends and communicate to most of them. This is where the whole story lies. People are generally of the view-

MORE TWITTER FOLLOWERS=MORE TRAFFIC FOR BLOG
But that’s not true. People receive 2 tweets per second on an average then why should they bother about clicking your link or retweet your tweet? To gain traffic for your blog via Twitter you need to communicate well with people. This is not an easy task as most of the people there won’t reply even your direct messages.
Talking about Facebook where communication between people is better, You would get a lot of quality visitors for your blog from Facebook.
Most of the people on Twitter are just to promote their business while in Facebook people want to know each other. So in my opinion 1 twitter follower=$0.01 and 1 Facebook friend=$1.
